Opening soon

We're building something a little different.

And we're almost ready to show you.

Imagine waking up in the Costa Rican jungle to the sounds of howler monkeys, making yourself a tropical fruit smoothie, and spending the morning working on your next big idea. By lunchtime, you're swimming beneath a waterfall, and in the afternoon, perhaps you're learning to play the drums, exploring jungle trails, or making friends with an entrepreneur from the other side of the world.

After sunset, there might be live music, a spontaneous jam session, an interesting conversation over dinner, or absolutely nothing on your schedule.

Welcome to Elevate, a new digital nomad hotel, coworking destination, creative retreat, and sustainable luxury farm stay in Costa Rica.

We're building Elevate inside the extraordinary Rancho Delicioso ecovillage, between the famous beach towns of Santa Teresa and Montezuma, on Costa Rica's Southern Nicoya Peninsula.

And we're not building another ordinary hotel with a few desks and decent WiFi.

We're creating a place where interesting people can do interesting things together.

A place where working remotely doesn't have to mean working alone. Where nature and technology get along. Where creativity is encouraged, curiosity is rewarded, and a perfectly productive day might include a few hours of work, a river swim, a new friendship, and a little bit of mischief.

Elevate is currently under construction, with opening planned soon. We're bringing together an unusual collection of spaces, experiences, and ideas to create one of Costa Rica's most distinctive destinations for digital nomads, remote workers, creatives, and adventurous travelers.

The idea

Not Just a Hotel. Not Just a Coworking Space.

Design rendering, aerial view

Most digital nomads know the routine.

Find a place to stay. Find reliable internet. Find a coffee shop where nobody minds if you spend four hours on your laptop. Try to meet some people. Figure out what to do after work.

We've decided to put all of those things together in one remarkable place.

Elevate will combine a boutique hotel with nine guest rooms, indoor and outdoor coworking areas, a creative arts and music center, wellness facilities, games, sports, adventure activities, and access to an established ecological community.

It's designed for people who want to accomplish something meaningful while they're here, whether that's launching a business, finishing a novel, making music, developing an app, or simply discovering a different way to live.

But Elevate isn't exclusively for traveling digital nomads.

We also welcome local residents looking for a comfortable alternative to working from home, entrepreneurs who want to meet other entrepreneurs, artists looking for creative energy, and travelers who just want a beautiful and unusual place to stay.

You don't have to be a programmer, startup founder, or laptop-carrying wanderer to belong here.

You just need a little curiosity.

Architecture

Built From Shipping Containers. Designed to Be Extraordinary.

One of the first things you'll notice about Elevate is that it doesn't look much like anything else.

The complex is being created from twelve recycled 40-foot shipping containers, transformed into an architectural playground surrounded by tropical jungle.

Three of these enormous steel containers stand vertically, creating striking towers with guest accommodations at the top.

The result is part eco-conscious architecture, part industrial sculpture, and part futuristic jungle hideaway.

The design combines recycled materials, contemporary construction, tropical landscaping, and creative architectural ideas. It's meant to be visually exciting without losing its connection to the natural surroundings.

Geoff McCabe and Meta, Elevate's co-designers, are developing a destination where the buildings themselves are part of the experience.

And there's a reason for all this unusual architecture.

We believe that where you spend your time influences how you think, how you feel, and what you create.

Why spend your most creative years staring at ordinary walls?

Stay

Nine Unique Rooms in the Costa Rican Jungle

Elevate will operate as a boutique hotel with nine rentable accommodations:

  • Five standard guest rooms
  • Two apartment-style accommodations
  • Two distinctive tower rooms

Guests will have access to a fully equipped communal kitchen, shared social areas, and the surrounding facilities.

Whether you're planning a short Costa Rica vacation, a week of remote work, or an extended digital nomad stay, Elevate is being designed to offer the comforts of a modern boutique hotel with the relaxed atmosphere of a creative community.

Our approach to sustainable luxury is simple.

Luxury doesn't have to mean marble floors, gold faucets, or being separated from the world by enormous walls.

Sometimes luxury is waking up surrounded by birdsong, having beautiful spaces to work, enjoying a swimming pool after a productive morning, and finding yourself surrounded by people you actually want to spend time with.

We think that's a pretty good definition.

Cowork

Coworking in Costa Rica, Without the Cubicles

If you're searching for a coworking space near Santa Teresa, Montezuma, or Cóbano, Elevate will offer something beyond a conventional shared office.

We're planning a combination of indoor desks, outdoor workspaces, private areas, offices, meeting rooms, and casual places to settle in with your laptop.

Naturally, high-speed WiFi will be part of the experience.

Some people work best in a quiet room with no distractions. Others are happiest on a shaded terrace, surrounded by greenery and the gentle background sounds of other people being productive.

We want both kinds of people to feel at home.

Elevate will offer coworking access for day visitors and a monthly membership option for local residents and long-term visitors.

We particularly love the idea of Elevate as a third space.

Your first space is home. Your second space is work. Your third space is somewhere you choose to go because you enjoy being there.

For remote workers living around Delicias, Montezuma, Santa Teresa, Mal País, and Cóbano, Elevate can become that place.

Come work for a few hours. Meet a friend. Take a swim. Have a juice. Exchange ideas. Maybe discover that the person at the next desk knows exactly how to solve the problem you've been wrestling with all morning.

Or perhaps you'll just enjoy being around other people without needing to talk to anyone.

That's good too.

Create

A Musical Instrument Petting Zoo. Yes, Really.

Some hotels have a piano in the lobby.

We're planning something more entertaining.

Elevate will have a musical instrument petting zoo, a relaxed, welcoming place where guests can explore instruments, experiment with sounds, learn something new, or join an impromptu jam session.

You don't have to be a musician.

In fact, you might discover that you're one.

There will also be a sound and recording studio for musicians, podcasters, content creators, and people with creative projects.

And then there's the stage.

We're developing a dramatic two-tier performance and circus stage, with space for live music, DJs, performances, presentations, and special events.

Imagine an intimate jungle concert, a creative workshop, a community celebration, or an evening when somebody who came to Costa Rica to finish a spreadsheet somehow ends up playing percussion in a band.

We can't promise that last one.

But we're certainly making it possible.

Play

Work Hard. Then Go Play.

We believe recreation should be a serious part of life.

Not because everyone needs to be constantly entertained, but because play, movement, and new experiences can make life richer.

Elevate is planning an unusually diverse collection of activities and recreational facilities.

For the adventurous

A rock climbing and bouldering area, a two-sided climbing tower, archery, pickleball, and extensive trails for hiking and biking.

For the gamers

A video game room with classic arcade entertainment, two racing simulators, a virtual reality room, and other interactive experiences.

For the pool lovers

A tropical swimming pool with a waterfall, a jacuzzi, and a climbing wall integrated into the pool area.

For those who prefer slowing down

Spa and treatment facilities, relaxation spaces, and places to sit quietly beneath the trees.

There's also a planned dome-shaped Frequency Room, designed for relaxation, sound experiences, and other wellness activities.

Some guests might spend the entire day working and take a quick swim before dinner.

Others might decide to learn archery, climb a wall, and play racing games with somebody they met that morning.

We think both are excellent uses of a Tuesday.

Ecovillage

A Farm Stay Inside a Real Costa Rican Ecovillage

One of the most important things about Elevate isn't actually Elevate.

It's the place we're building it.

Rancho Delicioso is an established ecological community with more than 30 full-time residents, located in the hills near Delicias on Costa Rica's Southern Nicoya Peninsula.

Unlike a resort that creates a temporary sense of community for its guests, Elevate is becoming part of a place where people already live, work, grow food, build things, and share their lives.

Rancho Delicioso features tropical fruit orchards, permaculture gardens, extensive natural areas, and a network of trails running through the property.

It's a place where sustainable living isn't just a phrase on a hotel website.

It's part of everyday life.

Guests at Elevate will have the opportunity to experience the natural surroundings and get to know a community of people who have chosen to live a little differently.

Nearby is Awaken Retreats, adding another dimension to the area's creative and wellness culture.

Our vision for sustainable tourism in Costa Rica is grounded in this relationship between visitors, residents, local businesses, and the environment.

We're not trying to create a self-contained resort where guests never discover what's beyond the entrance.

We want Elevate to be a gateway into the remarkable communities and landscapes surrounding us.

Wildlife

Monkeys, Parrots, Butterflies, and the Occasional Unexpected Visitor

Costa Rica is famous for its biodiversity, and the Southern Nicoya Peninsula offers wonderful opportunities to experience tropical wildlife.

The forests around Delicias are home to howler monkeys, white-faced capuchin monkeys, iguanas, tropical birds, and an extraordinary variety of insects and smaller animals.

You might hear howler monkeys before you ever see one.

Their deep, prehistoric-sounding calls can travel through the forest, especially in the early morning.

Parrots announce themselves loudly. Blue morpho butterflies appear like flashes of electric blue among the trees. Geckos perform their nightly insect patrols.

The nearby coastal forests are also excellent places to look for coatis, agoutis, colorful birds, and other wildlife.

And because we're surrounded by jungle, nature isn't something you need to schedule into a tour.

It's part of the setting.

Of course, wildlife is wild. Sightings vary, and we believe the best way to enjoy these animals is to respect their habitat and observe them without disturbing them.

Trails & rivers

Jungle Trails, River Swimming Holes, and Tropical Fruit

One of the experiences we're especially excited about is the extensive trail network around Rancho Delicioso.

These paths lead through tropical landscapes, orchards, and natural areas, including routes toward a river with swimming holes.

Imagine finishing your morning work session, changing into your swimsuit, and heading down a jungle trail for a refreshing swim.

No tour bus. No complicated itinerary.

Just a little adventure close to home.

The surrounding tropical fruit orchards and permaculture gardens add another dimension to the farm stay experience.

Costa Rica's tropical climate supports an astonishing diversity of edible plants, fruits, herbs, and vegetables.

For guests interested in regenerative agriculture, sustainable food systems, tropical gardening, or simply understanding where food comes from, Rancho Delicioso offers an inspiring environment.

And if you're just interested in delicious tropical fruit, that's a perfectly respectable motivation too.

Location

Between Santa Teresa and Montezuma: Two Different Worlds, One Remarkable Location

Elevate is located in the hills between two of Costa Rica's most distinctive coastal destinations.

Santa Teresa

Santa Teresa has become internationally known for surfing, beach culture, yoga, restaurants, and its growing community of digital nomads and remote workers.

It's a place where surfboards and laptops frequently share the same room.

The beaches around Santa Teresa and neighboring Mal País are spectacular, with powerful Pacific waves, dramatic sunsets, and a lively international atmosphere.

Montezuma

Montezuma, meanwhile, has a different personality.

This colorful seaside village is famous for its bohemian character, waterfalls, wildlife, beaches, art, and relaxed tropical atmosphere.

Montezuma attracts travelers who enjoy nature, creativity, independent restaurants, and a slightly unconventional way of life.

Elevate sits between these two worlds, offering access to both while providing a peaceful jungle setting away from the busiest beach areas.

We're also close to the communities of Delicias and Cóbano, where everyday Costa Rican life continues beyond the tourism scene.

Nearby restaurants include local favorites such as Puggo's and Tierra y Fuego, both part of the area's independent dining culture.

And getting here can be surprisingly convenient.

Cóbano Airport is approximately 10 minutes from Elevate by car, making the area accessible via domestic flights from San José. Actual transfer times depend on road conditions and the precise route.

You can arrive in Costa Rica, take a short domestic flight across the country, and find yourself in the Southern Nicoya jungle without spending most of the day driving.

Explore

Adventures Beyond Elevate

Although we're designing Elevate to be a destination in itself, we'd never suggest spending your entire Costa Rica vacation inside one property.

There's simply too much to explore.

The Southern Nicoya Peninsula offers some of Costa Rica's most memorable experiences.

Bioluminescence tours: In the waters around Paquera and the Gulf of Nicoya, nighttime boat and kayak tours can reveal the magical glow of bioluminescent marine organisms. Under suitable conditions, moving water can sparkle with blue-green light.

Sportfishing: The Pacific waters around the peninsula offer opportunities for offshore and inshore fishing, with species varying by season and location. Local fishing charters can arrange trips for experienced anglers and beginners.

Horseback riding: Explore tropical landscapes, forest trails, and coastal areas on guided horseback excursions.

ATV and quad adventures: Guided ATV tours and rentals offer a different way to discover the peninsula's rugged roads, viewpoints, and rural landscapes.

Montezuma Waterfalls: One of the area's best-known natural attractions, with beautiful cascades and swimming opportunities where conditions permit.

Isla Tortuga: Boat trips to this island in the Gulf of Nicoya offer beaches, snorkeling, and a classic tropical day excursion.

Cabo Blanco Absolute Natural Reserve: One of Costa Rica's most historically important protected areas, offering forest trails and opportunities to observe wildlife.

Surfing: Santa Teresa and nearby beaches offer surf experiences for different ability levels, with conditions changing by location, tide, and season.

Snorkeling and scuba diving: Explore the marine environments around the Nicoya Peninsula with experienced local operators.

Birdwatching and wildlife tours: Discover the extraordinary biodiversity of the region with knowledgeable local naturalist guides.

And that's only the beginning.

There are hidden beaches, small coastal villages, jungle trails, sunset viewpoints, local markets, and countless places that rarely appear in conventional travel itineraries.

We want Elevate to help guests discover both the famous attractions and the lesser-known experiences that make this corner of Costa Rica special.

Events & retreats

A Creative Retreat, Event Venue, and Place to Bring People Together

Elevate isn't being designed only for individual travelers.

Our spaces will also be available for organized events, workshops, retreats, creative gatherings, and group experiences.

Imagine hosting a small entrepreneurial retreat where participants can work together in the morning, explore the jungle in the afternoon, and enjoy live music in the evening.

Or a music workshop where artists collaborate in the recording studio and perform together on stage.

Or a wellness gathering that combines nature, movement, relaxation, and meaningful conversations.

We're interested in bringing together people from different disciplines and backgrounds.

Musicians and software developers. Artists and entrepreneurs. Designers and travelers. Local residents and international visitors.

The most interesting ideas often emerge when people who wouldn't ordinarily meet find themselves sharing a table.

Sustainability

Sustainable Luxury Without Taking Ourselves Too Seriously

Sustainability is an important part of Elevate's identity, beginning with the adaptive reuse of twelve shipping containers.

Our setting within Rancho Delicioso also connects the project to an established community interested in permaculture, ecological living, and more thoughtful relationships with nature.

We're interested in good design, durable materials, local craftsmanship, and creating spaces that feel both remarkable and comfortable.

Guido, who leads woodworking at Elevate, is part of the team bringing warmth and craftsmanship to the project's unusual architectural environment.

We don't believe sustainability and luxury have to be opposites.

And we don't think a sustainable hotel needs to feel rustic, uncomfortable, or overly serious.

You can appreciate a beautiful piece of woodwork, enjoy a comfortable room, swim in a gorgeous pool, play a ridiculous video game, and still care deeply about the environment.

We also believe that supporting the surrounding community is essential to responsible tourism.

That means encouraging guests to discover independent restaurants, local guides, artisans, shops, and experiences throughout Delicias, Montezuma, Santa Teresa, and the surrounding peninsula.

Who it's for

A Place for Digital Nomads, Crypto People, Creators, and Curious Minds

The world of remote work is changing.

People are no longer limited to choosing between an office in a city and working alone from their bedroom.

More professionals are building location-independent careers, starting businesses while traveling, collaborating internationally, and choosing places to live based on quality of life.

Costa Rica has become a popular destination for this lifestyle, thanks to its natural beauty, welcoming culture, outdoor recreation, and established international communities.

Elevate is being designed for this new generation of travelers.

But we're also interested in the technologies, ideas, and creative movements shaping the future.

That includes cryptocurrency and decentralized technology.

Elevate will accept cryptocurrency payments, giving guests who prefer digital assets another way to pay for their stays and experiences.

We're enthusiastic about technology, but we don't believe it should dominate every moment of life.

The best technology makes it easier to enjoy being human.

Sometimes that means fast internet and useful digital tools.

Sometimes it means putting the laptop away and going for a swim.

Ways to visit

Stay a Week. Stay a Month. Or Just Come for the Day.

One of our goals is to make Elevate useful to different people in different ways.

A few nights

Some guests will visit for a few nights as part of a Costa Rica vacation.

A longer stay

Others will come for longer digital nomad stays, using Elevate as a comfortable home base while working remotely.

Day and monthly coworking

Local residents will be able to use our coworking facilities through day access and planned monthly memberships.

Groups and events

Groups will be able to book events and creative experiences.

And travelers who aren't interested in working at all can simply enjoy an unusual boutique hotel surrounded by nature and recreational opportunities.

We're planning a juice bar and casual social spaces that make it easy to meet people without turning every interaction into a formal networking event.

Because sometimes the most valuable thing you take away from a journey isn't a photograph or souvenir.

It's a new friendship.

Progress

Under Construction. Coming Soon.

Right now, Elevate is still becoming Elevate.

The shipping containers are being transformed. The architecture is taking shape. Creative spaces are being developed. The jungle setting is gradually becoming home to something unusual.

Some features are still being finalized, and we'll share more details as construction progresses.

We're excited about what we're building, but we also know that the best places develop their personalities over time.

The people who visit Elevate, the friendships formed here, the music created, the ideas exchanged, and the unexpected experiences will ultimately define what Elevate becomes.

That's something no architect can design in advance.

We're simply creating the conditions for it to happen.

Follow along

Be Part of the Beginning

Whether you're searching for a digital nomad hotel in Costa Rica, a coworking space near Santa Teresa, a creative retreat in Montezuma, a sustainable luxury farm stay, or just somewhere genuinely different to spend a few weeks, we'd love for you to follow our progress.

Elevate is coming soon to Rancho Delicioso, in the hills of the Southern Nicoya Peninsula.

A place to work when you're inspired, play when you're curious, relax when you need it, and meet people who might change your life.

And possibly learn to play the bongos.

We'll see.
